Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment.

We also use Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics to better understand how visitors use our website. Data collected through these cookies may be used for analytics, site optimisation, security, and advertising purposes.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

HAB does not share any personal information with third parties, except with trusted service providers who support our communication systems – such as our email provider. These providers are contractually obligated to keep your information secure and confidential, and they comply with industry-standard security practices to protect your data. If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email as part of standard security measures.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment on Habgroup.com website, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so the website can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding it in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws and regulations. Once the information is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it, unless retention is required to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes.

What rights you have over your data

You have the right to access, update, erase, change or correct your personal information. If you believe that any information we hold about you is incorrect or incomplete you may ask us to correct or remove this information from our records. Any information that is found to be incorrect will be corrected promptly. To do so, please contact us at marketing@habgroup.com with your name and the information requested to be accessed, corrected or removed.

SECURITY

The security of your personal information is important to us. We maintain appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information. We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.  Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

LAWFUL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

We process your personal information on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • With your consent (for example, when you accept cookies or sign up for updates)
  • To perform a contract (for example, providing services you request)
  • To comply with legal obligations (such as regulatory or tax requirements)

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Some of the service providers we use, such as Microsoft and Google, may process and store your personal information outside the TCI and outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, to protect your data.
